WHATS NEW IN VOLLEYBALL
- Botswana Women's team loses in all their matches at the World Championships qualifying tournament The national womens team went out there to try their luck against Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa who were in their group. They lost their matches in straight sets.
- The club will officially start participating in the BVF competitions in 2005 and our Director of Volleyball is finalising the playing squad that will go into camp quite soon. The camp has found a potential one-off sponsor in Rainbow Supermarket/Granny's Kitchen And Lodge and might be staged over the Easter Holidays in Orapa.
- Under 12s have been training since January 12 2005 in Letlhakane and Mochudi under different coaches. The Club is working in collaboration with Seingwaeng Primary School in Mochudi and Letlhakane Primary School. We thank Mrs Moshashane and Mrs Molefe, the School Heads, for their support. Dynamites are the only club in the country to have an Under 12 structure in place. The young ones receive help from the club president's pockets and we appeal to anyone willing to help the 15 children to pledge support to dynamitesclub@yahoo.co.uk
- Continuing merger talks between us and Spiking Stars are only focused on the ladies side. Our club ihas only a women's team and it means if things go well, the name Spiking Stars may continue to be used for the boys' team, while the ladies will continue using Dynamites. Dynamites has good male players waiting to start up a men's team. These players will then be given up to be used by Spiking Stars.
